Jessie provides individualized consultations to families, care partners, and the community to improve the care of individuals with dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases. She offers training, resources, education, support, cognitive screenings, and cognitive wellness services for individuals and family members of loved ones living with memory loss and cognitive decline.

Jessie is a certified dementia practitioner and owner of The Memory Compass. With 11 years of experience in the dementia care space, Jessie will partner with your family to help successfully guide you out of living in reactive chaos to a place of proactive direction and peace of mind.

80% of Jessie’s clients are the sons or daughters of a loved one living with dementia, 15% are spouses, and 5% are those interested in learning about brain health and preventative care (a number we hope to see grow as preventative care is currently more promising than any current treatment on the market). Clients are served here locally in Zionsville and virtually across the United States!

Jessie’s clients hire her to help them navigate through various care concerns, including:

  • Are the characteristics my loved one is demonstrating normal aging?
  • I don’t know where to begin. (Individualized navigation is available whether a loved one lives here locally or lives out of state)
  • Creating a village of support for the journey and knowing what resources are available
  • Developing an individualized action plan for the present and proactively for the future to foster a loved one continuing to be able to live as vibrant a life as possible
  • Family mediation and communications
  • Strategizing through challenging care concerns (such as struggles with medication management, driving concerns, how to talk through having an increased level of care, dressing, showering, changes in mood and behavior, and so much more)
  • Assessing current living environment (from near and from afar)
  • Developing an individualized emergency plan
  • I have a family history of cognitive decline and I want to know measures I can take to honor my own brain health
  • I am a business owner and am seeking professional guidance on fostering a dementia-friendly environment and tools for employees

No one should have to navigate this journey alone. Reach out to Jessie for a free 15-minute consultation.

"Dementia is personalized (Just in my small world… my husband’s dementia is much different than that of what his mom recently died from, and both are different from the dementia my mom died from twenty years ago.) This requires my role to be personalized in being his care partner and advocate. You help me to achieve a personalized care plan for my husband.

Your person-centered approach educates me on what my husband needs and empowers me to provide him the care he needs. You partner with me to create a safe and comfortable environment for my husband, while communicating the importance of respite for myself.

Convenient consultations help me navigate through the practicalities and challenges of dementia. You provide manageable solutions, so that my husband stays safe, and together, we can enjoy our personal optimum quality of life."
